I've a lifetime as a hobbyist in the arts. As a mature student I took a degree in photography and a diploma in Fine Art. I enjoy working simultaneously in both media and am, at present, working on ideas for combining both digital, drawn and written imagery.

I'm influenced by the Impressionists, Matis and Picasso, especially being drawn to vibrant colours and strong powerful drawing. Other favourites include Turner (a hero) and the Scottish Colourists, in both still-life and landscape mode.
I've had three showings in the 'Peoples Show' in the Northumbria University Gallery, plus the usual degree and in-house exhibitions. I've sold work at auction and had individual commissions for still-life studies.
